This texture pack successfully creates and adventure feel while keeping everything light hearted and fun. Glass has an especially nice texture as it has just the right amount of flare as clear glass allowing you to see through it with out having a plain block. path textures lure you in to following them with a sort of crazy paving effect, were as grass textures remain rugged and undiscovered will still having a luxurious island quality. i would like to see some experimentation with mob skins making them look just as nice.

I enjoyed using this pack very much. the torches are very vividly coloured which makes them magical to look at. Everything has a deep texture which makes for a unique feel to the game. Ordinary wooden structures seem slightly more sinister due to planks being very dark which allows even new people starting to make a very impressive looking house. Glass has to much iron running through it for my liking, i like that pattern of it but there is so much it makes it look almost like a solid block, certainly from a distance. since the hole texture pack is quite dark it makes it hard to see inside houses sometimes even if they are well lit with the beautiful torches. Over all i think this texture pack is very nice and the patience needed to install it is well rewarded with the outcome!

CARTHULU'S Adventure pack

I especial like this type of fun cartoony Minecraft. everything is very clean, and fun to look at. Bright colours everywhere that can make the mundane pop and become interesting to look at! the few thing that are stylised such as the birch trees work very well and wooden planks create and aged village feel to everything which i like!

SHAMU'S REFINED BASIC TEXTURE PACK

There are a few cool things in this texture pack, I really like the armour it looks very good and makes everyone look like a proper hero. Glowstone has a sort of steel texture witch makes it blend more in with other blocks while still providing the vital light. Wolves have also had a revamp to make them look more angry.  I also liked the paintings making my office look very sophisticated.

This is a bit of a weird texture pack to review as it only has a few changes... most of them for the better. i like the bricks texture, it is just the right amount of real and cartoon which makes it pleasant. i also like the crates instead of soul sand but i find it strange as to why soul sand is a create? However the real star of this pack is the block breaking animation which i absolutely love! i must have destroyed a good couple stacks of dirt from the spawn as i was perplexed by it. basically it is like a charging battery and when it gets full it breaks the block!

Appleslinky's Rainforest and ruins texture pack

I love rainforest textures, deep greens and everything covered in moss is how I think minecraft should be, makes it mysterious. this texture pack harnesses this. Logs have slivers of green going through them creating realistic moss effects, and the textures within the leaves creates a depth the gives a rainforest feel with only one tree. to me even the break animation has a feeling of overgrowing the block before destroying it which makes clearing large areas entertaining just to watch the animation! grass grows over the side of blocks which also adds to the unkempt wildness of the pack. everything in the world seems darker adding a moist feel which makes you think it has just rained or that it is very humid. I would like to see animals done next however as they are unchanged, perhaps even a little mud on the skin would make the mesh with the pack more but over all i really liked this pack.

RESONANCE! Themirror's texture pack

WOW! this pack will turn everything in your world into a horror movie! when you first try it you notice you pointer is now a skull and instead of harts for life you have real harts! everything in this pack seems to have skulls on it, and everything seems to be dark making everything seem eerie. flowers have become impaled skulls, pumpkins possessed demons and skull shaped iron doors. the few plants that are left are dead matted clumps that depress you. however i presume this texture pack isn't finished... loads of blocks such as cactus have not been changed which seems like something this texture pack would love to play around with! also animals are the same which kinda spoils the mood when you are confronted with a wall of skulls and a regular chicken just waddles past. all together if he fixes these things i think this will be a very nice texture pack!

Leostero's Textures

I especially like this simple style of texture pack. why try to achieve realisms when you can get such a lovely fun feeling from a texture pack like this one. Leostero's texture pack seems to be based around lines and smaller squares which give me a comic book feel. the tree leaves are especially cool as they are very stylised but create a feel of dense foliage which the real game is lacking in my opinion. All the wood textures merge very nicely together making regular houses look custom  made. other textures are also masterfully created such as bricks. However i feel like more effort could be made with the animals in the texture pack as they look quite plane, with 2 black beady eyes that send chills down your spine, not quite in keeping with the fun i got from the rest of the pack.

Mitchell's HD Texture Pack

Playing on my server the first thing i notice is the lovely font used in the text box. also as the spawn is in the middle of the sea i experience just how lovely the water animations are, including a lovely splash animation when you jump in with bubbles around you sprite. the wheat texture is also very nice giving you a real feel of farming looking very realistic. The slime on the ends of sticky pistons is possibly the most real for me as it really does look stick and gungy like mucus and as if a block touching it would actually stick to it. chests come equipped with locks and real looking textures which make you wonder what lies within them. If you thought you were impressed by the texture pack so far you will be blown away when it comes to night time. i was awe stricken when a huge full moon rose across the server looking very realistic making me say "check out the moon", before remembering i was the only one with the texture pack on. Ore block look nice however the darker blocks like coal can be difficult to spot if your trapped in a dark cave but besides that they are relatively easy to spot. i think this is a really nice texture pack if you are looking for realism. there are some bits i would change such as maps looking like mouldy bits of bread when in your inventory but besides that i did really enjoy using this texture pack!

Romecraft 6.2 by Stugace Texture pack review

First thing once you put on the texture pack you notice is how to front page looks amazing the buttons so detailed.  The dirt has a nice texture that tiles well and the stone and cobble stone are nicer than the default.  Some of the wools like the lime wool look a bit odd when you have built a whole structure out of them but i think the pink wool is quite nice as white and red lines.  The trees look good with the log texture and the leaves going well together. The ores look quite similar but in a good way.  Bricks are very realistic.   Overall i think this texture pack is a very realistic one for a 16x texture pack and it needs no hd patcher.
